Meet Sean Franco-Norris

I’m Sean Franco-Norris, a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor with a passion for helping others turn barriers into opportunities. My work focuses on empowering clients to define their own goals and achieve meaningful employment through tailored counseling, guidance, and strategic planning.
What I Do
- Guiding Clients: Conducting intake interviews to understand their unique challenges and strengths.
- Developing Plans: Creating personalized Individual Plan for Employment (IPE) to align with their career goals.
- Providing Resources: Connecting clients to tools, resources, and recommendations to help them succeed.
- Empowering Decisions: Encouraging clients to make informed choices based on their goals and aspirations.
- Ongoing Support: Offering monthly counseling and guidance to track progress and navigate obstacles.
Why Psychology?
My journey into psychology began with a realization: there is a critical gap in mental health services for Deaf individuals. Too often, I’ve seen clients face unnecessary barriers due to evaluations and counseling that fail to meet their cultural and linguistic needs. This inspired me to take action.
- Bridge the Gap: Provide 1-on-1 counseling sessions in ASL without the need for interpreters.
- Enhanced Evaluations: Offer accurate, culturally sensitive psychological assessments.
- Empower Clients: Help individuals achieve personal growth and mental well-being.
My Career Vision
My long-term goal is to combine my expertise in vocational rehabilitation counseling and psychology to create a holistic approach to career development and mental health. Whether through counseling or evaluations, I’m committed to helping others realize their potential and build fulfilling futures.
What Guide Me
Empathy is the cornerstone of my work. I understand the frustration many clients face and strive to turn those challenges into opportunities. My ability to connect with people quickly, listen deeply, and provide actionable support is what makes my work so rewarding and effective.
